Balloons.

I love these watercolor paintings by kalinatoneva on Deviant Art. The balloons and the colors make me pretty happy. You can check out more of her paintings on her Deviant Art site, and I'd definitely recommend browsing the rest.

Arty Party: Kim Dorland.

These paintings by Kim Dorland are beautiful. I really like how thick the paint is. Very Van Gogh, yeah?

de Chirico.

Delights of the Poet, 1913

Piazza de Italia, 1915

Giorgio de Chirico was a Surrealist painter born in Greece. I am a little obsessed with his haunting, classic landscapes. There is something about them that is calming and yet unnerving at the same time. His use of unaligned perspective is probably why the paintings seem so dreamlike. None of the vanishing points line up!
