Mysterious Snail Mail.

In April 2009, we sent a personal, handwritten letter to each of the 467 households in the small Irish village of Cushendall. We hoped these unsolicited letters would prompt neighbourly discussion, spreading across the town, promoting community curiosity.

I think this is such a lovely idea. People rarely get regular mail these days, and what a fun way to spark a discussion about it! I can see how it might have been a bit unnerving for some people, but I still think there were lovely intentions behind the project.

  1. Ahh this is such a great and lovely idea!

  2. Getting letters is such fun, what a neat idea! My town is small but not small enough to do this:(.

  3. I agree completelyy
    That's lovelyyy
The art of letter writing is dying a slow and painful death, and it's such a shameeee
    Who doesn't love recieving letters
